I’m an aspiring author and a marketing and communications professional from the Washington, DC area. For more than 15 years I have worked with top notch mental health trade associations and companies that specialize in offering services to the behavioral healthcare industry. As a marketing VP for an online learning company I developed and led a marketing program that produced double digit growth. At leading associations I educated mental health providers about Medicare Part D by co-authoring a book ABCs of Medicare Part D and spearheaded organizational marketing efforts. I have also published articles in mental health trade magazines. In addition I served as a legislative assistant and public relations account executive at a Capitol Hill lobbying firm and have experience as a geriatric social worker. I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology from Florida State University and a Masters of Social Work degree from Columbia University.
About My Book
Daughter of Pornography is the true life story about my close knit family and our entanglement in a historical moment in American culture. This book details my father’s transformation from a successful stockbroker to a pornbroker and its impact on my family. Follow my family’s journey through my father’s involvement distributing Deep Throat and indictment in the highly publicized Deep Throat obscenity trials in 1976 and 1978— alongside actor Harry Reems and producers with known mob ties. I also recount my mother’s struggle with depression and harrowing experience surviving a suicide attempt.
